"Irrigation, the key to success in agricultural operations" Workshop

MIRRA conducted a workshop in cooperation with NIDCO, National Drip Irrigation Co. aiming to provide practical solutions to challenges & problems facing Jordanian farmers.

The workshop was held in Palm Village on the 17th of May, 2012 and was attended by representatives from Greater Amman Municipality, Agricultural Engineers Association, local agricultural companies, and farmers. The workshop discussed the integrity of the agricultural process in terms of seeds, fertilizer, pesticides, and their relation with good irrigation systems.

Eng. Haidar Malhas, the Executive Manager of MIRRA, explained how important to refer to experts whenever there are problems in the irrigation network.

The conclusions of the workshop and the recommendations were presented, emphasizing the role of the private sector in supporting Jordanian farmers under the difficult economic, water, and climatic conditions through providing farmers with scientific information and approaches.

MIRRA at 6th World Water Forum (WWF6)

Eng. Haidar Malhas, the Executive Manager of MIRRA, has attended the 6th World Water Forum (WWF6). The event was held in Marseille, France from 12th - 17th of March, 2012.

Innovation Against Poverty Programme

MIRRA has attended the event that was launched by The Embassy of Sweden in Amman and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) at the Century Park Hotel on the 25th of March 2012. The programme aims to stimulate innovation and business and to contributing to poverty reduction.
